Dear Leigh and Todd, I wanted to thank you for renting me and my family your beautiful house in Olon Ecuador for five nights. The truth is that the pictures posted in the website makes no justice for the gorgeous place you have. Your house is BEAUTIFUL! The beach was great! Everyone was really nice and friendly to us, especially Bobby and Osvaldo. I feel I have know you guys for a long time even though we only met once. We can’t thank you enough for the warm welcome, and hope to keep in touch for years to come. Thank you, Will Be Back Next Year! :-)

Todd,

We had such a great time! I speak for everyone when I say that the house was amazing, the area beautiful, and the people so friendly. None of us wanted to leave!!

Oswaldo was great. He helped us with everything, and his wife is an amazing cook! She cooked us dinner twice, both times fabulous.

Your house was perfect. The outdoor shower was used I think for every shower taken all week!  The feed recs were great, Hola Ola was our favorite spot, and we went on multiple nights. We had a bonfire on the beach one night too, which was a great experience. Relaxing on  the beach in Olon was a daily occurence. We did go to Montanita, and loved it, but I have never been on a beach so alive with sea creatures, and so beautiful! It was great.

Lastly, a thanks to Keith also. The boys loved talking with him, and really enjoyed the ride!

Everyone I know wants to go visit Ecuador now. We had such an amazing time. And the lack of stress, the happiness on everyones faces, really makes you reexamine your life!

I plan on returning. My parents and brothers want to rent the place! I have given everyone who asked your email, and your website.

THanks for having us!! Enclosed are a few pictures for you. Hope you enjoy them!

Lauren

Dear Todd and Leigh, thanks for the stay in Olon.  The weather was perfect and my daughters are admiring my tan.  Your house is perfectly situated, a small walk to the beach and the beauty of the surrounding gardens makes the stay all the better.  I look forward to staying in your house in the future along with my family.  Again, thanks for the stay.  Bobby Bell

Leigh,

I am back in Toronto.  I wanted to tell you that our time in Olon was magnificent.  You have a great house in a great location, and we really enjoyed our stay.  My little one had a great time.  I just hope we didn’t leave it too much of a mess for Oswaldo to clean up.

Dear Leigh and Todd,
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful Ecuadorian home.  We loved every minute of it and our vacation was perfect.  The house is great and feels like a home rather than like a rental which makes all the difference.  There were enough waves for the boys to surf every day in front of the house and they never even felt like they needed to surf in Montanita.  That made life very easy for us all.  Oswaldo and Carlos and their families were great as were Olon and Montanita.  We ate like kings and had some fun explorations.  My son got hooked on Nip Tuck...the perfect down time activity (though a touch inappropriate at times, but what happens in Olon stays in Olon, right?)  Keith was very helpful and full of information and his family as great.  All in all, I think this was the best vacation we have had.  I was absolutely not ready to leave.  Thank you for everything.

Dear Todd and Leigh

We thoroughly enjoyed the time at your beautiful house, the friendly little town of Olon, and exploring the coast. A highlight for me was scuba diving off Isla de la Plata, look in the pictures for the many turtles who were nesting and were as abundant at the surface as they were 60 feet down! Both of us also valued our long walks on your beautiful beach….wish I were still there!

Our visit would not have been as wonderful without the help of so many people. We were very grateful for the pick up, grocery excursion and company of Keith as we made the drive from Guayaquil to the house. He was so generous in suggesting things to do and see and restaurants to visit. Oswaldo kept an eye on us and we appreciated his efforts too. We enjoyed watching his beautiful children play in the area. Ronald and Parajito made sure we got driven everywhere we needed to go. And most importantly, we were so grateful for the help and support of Edgar and Claudia. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them, the hikes, massage, reiki treatment when I was stressed about the keys, the numerous calls and translations Edgar did for us to arrange things, numerous interesting conversations, and just generally knowing they were there.

Thanks again for allowing us to stay. Working with you and Todd was easy and your care and concern for our trip and our well being were very evident.

All the best!

only feedback would be to provide a general idea of what might be appropriate gratuity for concierge/hospitality services. Is it a percentage of the weekly Edgar was great, so was Oswaldo. Claudia gives a GREAT massage. Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving! Thank you and Todd for all your assistance with making our trip a success. Your home there is wonderful and comfortable.

I wanted to write you a follow up letter to “thank you” for all the hospitality that was shown to us during our stay at your property.  You have done a great job of align yourselves and your property with good people, that can manage the well being of your home and your guests. Edgar and Claudia where there whenever we needed them, and guided us carefully in order to provide a safe and fun filled vacation.  Jorge the cook was fantastic, he provided us with a beautiful breakfast each morning and cleaned up after us.  Keith Varni, the private driver made us feel very safe in his presence, he answered all of our many questions, and told us to call him if we had any issues.  It makes an American, far from home, feel good to know another American has your back if something happens.

I have been in the Resort and Hospitality business for many years, please feel free to use me as a “contact in the business”, as you continue to grow your business in property management and real estate.  Whatever knowledge I have acquired over the years, I would be happy to share with you.  Kindly, Alicia

Hi,

Hope you remember me, I stayed in your beautiful home last November over the Thanksgiving Holiday.  We are planning another trip this November and I wanted to check what dates are available during that time period at your home in Olon.

Hope all is well and looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Best, Jose

The trip was amazing!  The house was in the perfect location as well.  Finally got some waves during the second half of the week and I surfed right behind the house by myself in warm water which was exactly what I was looking for.  We ate at Lolita's almost everyday and could not believe how good the shrimp ceviche was.

Ended up giving out about 250 bags of crayons and supplies to the kids around town.  I felt like santa clause!  The kids where running from the houses and following me for blocks.  I've attached a few photos for you to see some of the kids, whales and horses we saw.

Thanks again for the incredible house and hospitality.  We will be back again soon!

Take care, Danny

Todd,

Hello! Thanks again for our wonderful stay at your beach house in Ecuador! We really loved your house, amenities and location! So much that my father has decided to buy a lot in Jardines de Olon! He wanted me to email you with hopes that you could give us some insight on a few things….

Leigh,
We did have a terrific time!  We loved everything about Ecuador.  We definitely fell in love with Olon and the people there.
When we were at Olon we did the tour over to Isla de la Plata and saw numerous whales on our way over to the island and back!  We also went deep sea fishing and saw more whales (with Oswaldo).  We loved hanging out at the beach and seeing all the sand dollars and star fish..

We are going to leave feedback on the rentals page... but we really enjoyed ourselves and had a wonderful time!!

Additional Comments:

Just got back from a week stay in Olon, Ecuador with 4 of my friends on a surf trip. The house was beautiful, and the amenities were great. Olon is only 1 mile north or Montanita. We really liked the property because is was so close to a great surf spot, yet nice and quiet for when we wanted to relax. Oswaldo was around daily taking care of the beautiful flowers on the property, and to assist us with anything we may have needed. Overall, this was a great trip and couldn't have picked a better house to rent! 10 second walk from the beach!

Dear Leigh and Todd,

We spent three beautiful days and nights there, and felt as though we were your personal guests.  The house was nice and clean and inviting, just as you would have hoped to find it yourself.  I opened the shutters and let the breeze pass through the screens, and it was as pleasant as can be.  Upon our arrival on Sunday night, Tito met us where we were eating dinner in Montanita, and rode home with us to show us the way.  The remainder of the time, Oswaldo was very attentive to our needs, even though in reality, we needed very little.

There were so many things that we enjoyed about the house, that it would take a long letter to describe all of them in detail.  We really enjoyed the DVD library, the manicured back yard in which to read, and the sound of the crashing waves, just far enough away to lull you to sleep.  I loved the veranda off the bedroom, with a view of the beach.  The house really is a delight in so many ways.  A tranquil neighborhood is an added bonus.
